Pests

Identifying your pest could be more difficult than you think, there are subtle differences between species and treatment can change dramatically from one to the next. The images below may help to identify some of the common pests in the area but to be sure we recommend a free assessment of your home/premises.

Pests: Wasps & Bees

Warm weather is usually a cause for celebration, bringing everyone outdoors to enjoy the sunshine but this includes wasps and bees. While the stings from wasps, bees, hornets, or yellow jackets may hurt, they can also cause more serious health issues like painful swelling, infections, nausea, and in rare cases even allergic reactions. Not only do you need to worry about wasps and bees themselves, but also about locating and removing their nests.

Pests: Rats & Mice

"Should I be concerned about rats and mice?"

Rodents & Disease - Rodents are very difficult to control but also carry the chance of disease and can contaminate food with their waste, fur, and saliva. Mice in particularly can contaminate around 10 times the amount of food they consume.

Rats and mice are also hosts themselves for fleas, which can further spread diseases like lymphocytic choriomeningitis virus. This illness mostly affects those with weakened immune systems and may result in headaches, fever, and meningitis. It can also cause complications during pregnancy.

It is not advisable to handle any wild rodent. They are equipped with large teeth and are capable of transmitting a variety of bacteria, viruses and diseases through their saliva, feces and urine.

If you locate a rodent within your home it is best to contact a pest control professional for removal and identification. The presence of one rodent within a home could signal an infestation.

Keep all children and pets away from rodents. If cornered, the rodent will bite to defend itself.

Call now on 07889351405 to arrange a no obligation assessment.

If you're not sure what pest you're dealing with, or if the problem is large or small, give me a call to arrange a visit where an assessment will be carried out to ascertain the best course of action and an accurate price. If you choose to move ahead with the removal of your pest(s) with Will Kill the cost of the assessment (£30) will be removed from the final price.
